Installed in a matter of minutes. Have had ZERO problems with it. Plays games like Sims 3, America's Army 3 (Unreal Engine), BF Heroes at max resolution. The card is perfect for computers that can't supply the 500W minimum of most high performance cards. The card draws power only from the PCI-E slot.

1 problem is that it does have a SPDIF audio port for the dvi/hdmi output. My computer (dell inspiron) doesn't come with a spdif audio port because the audio is handled on the motherboard. But since this is a problem with my computer and not the card I don't fault the card.

9800gt delivers excellent performance, i tested in a 52" plasma TV hooked up with HDMI cable, tested crysis and runs entusiasth at 1080p at decent frames, doesnt heat too much and plays every game to the max settings winouth any noticiable fps drop.
the only inconvenience its that the cd driver included doesnt work, you have to manually install from the CD.
Good upgrade for older systems

I've had this card for over a month now and have yet to experience any problems with it. Runs Gears of War, The last Remnant, Left for Dead, Jericho, Bio Shock and Grid maxed out no problem (originally running a 6600).

One thing I would note to prospective graphics card buyers is to consider what types of games you'll be running before deciding NVidia or ATI chip sets. Originally I was looking at a 4770 ATI, but discovered through research that NVidia cards handle games that run on the Unreal Engine better (and no, I'm not loyal to either brand).

Also, if you have an older/stock computer your power source probably can't handle the 450+ watts of power most cards at this level require which means you'll need to factor in the expense of buying a new PSU as well. I mostly bought this card so I wouldn't have to deal with another expense like that (currently running on a 380w Antec PSU).

The reason I deducted a star is because this sucker runs hot! Granted, I don't have the best ventilation system in the world, but it'll heat up a room noticeably in a little over an hour when enduring a heavy load. Under these circumstances the fan does become noticeable, but not irritating. Wish I could deduct just a 1/2 star, though, cause most cards this powerful get fairly hot anyways.

I spent over two weeks looking at ALL SORTS of different cards/reviews -NVidia and ATI alike- and ended up with this because it's powerful and didn't require me to buy a new PSU. If that's what you're looking for, then look no further.

Runs circles around my BFG 8600GT OC. I can play everything at 1680x1050 with everything maxed out. Crysis, need for speed undercover, fuel, you name it graphics are perfect. Ive got a Q6600, 3gb RAM, and this bad boy. Great performance for the price.
